No. A Sole Proprietorship is NOT eligible. Your business must be registered as a Private Limited Company, LLP, or Registered Partnership Firm.
An entity is considered a startup up to 10 years from the date of incorporation/registration, provided its turnover has not exceeded ₹100 Crores and it is working towards innovation/scalability.
No. DPIIT recognition is the first step. For 80-IAC Income Tax exemption, a separate application must be made to the Inter-Ministerial Board (IMB) post-recognition.
